Crew
The crew of Avionicks consists of the people mentioned below. If you want to contact us, please use the contact page.
Laurens Alblas:
Website developer and founder.
As founder and developer of Avionicks, Laurens started the website and developed it to what it is today. This basically means that he puts the website's design into code and makes sure everything works. Also screening of uploaded names and photos is one of the things that he is doing for Avionicks.
Since the end of 2006 Laurens started making photographs and, while he lives in the Netherlands, has the opportunity to photograph a lot of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and Martinair aircraft. The KLM aircraft names are actually the reason he started this website!
In daily life, Laurens is doing his Master study at the faculty of Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands.
Dag Eidet:
All-round assistance and photographer.
Next to screening uploaded names and photos, Dag gives all-round assistance to Avionicks. This includes subjects as how the design of the website should be and what information we should offer to our visitors.
Dag joined Avionicks halfway 2005 and therefore is familiar with Avionicks since almost the start of the website. He has seen, and has contributed to, the development of Avionicks and therefore knows which way Avionicks needs to go. Dag even came up with our (new) name: Avionicks!
Next to all this, Dag is an aircraft spotter and has a lot of photos on this website. Since he lives in Norway he has the opportunity to photograph a lot of aircraft from the Scandinavian countries, such as Norwegian Air Shuttle and SAS Scandinavian Airlines.
Hans Gerritsma:
All-round assistance and photographer.
Hans and Laurens know each other since secondary school and since they share an interest in aviation (and photography), it is not a big coincidence that Hans got in touch with Avionicks. He joined the crew after the 2nd birthday of the website in 2007.
Hans occupies himself mainly with screening names and photos, but he does some all-round work too such as giving advice about how the site should look.
Next to assisting with the website, Hans is an aviation enthusiast and, since 2006, a photographer too. He lives in The Netherlands, so Amsterdam - Schiphol is a favourite place to spot aircraft. Next to all this, Hans is currently studying Dental Surgery at Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
